International Business Machines (IBM), one of the largest companies in the computer industry, provided the foundation for my software career up to the turn of the millenium and beyond.
Initially, the project was conducted at the IBM training facility in Las Colinas, Irving, Texas, to demonstrate the use of IBM’s ImagePlus document handling workstation for training purposes. The workstations consisted of a double monitor – mainframe session on one side and PC document processing on the other communicating through a token-ring network.
The project was operating out of the Gaithersburg, MD, office of IBM.
