Three Amigos - Dad, Cuz Jon & Mois

Dad and I made the commute to the western end of the big cornfield yet again this weekend for the wedding of cousin Jenny Coleman to her longtime sweetheart, Brett Mitchell at the Salina, Kansas, Masonic Temple, as was the wedding of Jenny’s younger sister, Jessica, back in May of 2011.

This one was conducted in the Sanctuary of the Masonic Lodge which was really quite awe inspiring! I had ventured to the 3rd floor upon our arrival, and poking my head into the Sanctuary, felt an odd sense that I was in a sacred, off-limits, area.

Immediately after the ceremony, people were seated in the reception hall for a wonderful meal of roast beef, chicken, green beans, cheesy potatoes and more. There were around 400 people in attendance to what turned out to be a really, nice time with everything going very smoothly. Barbara Jo’s good friend Helen was there, plus, we were able to spend some quality time with cousin Jon, as he introduced us to his new girlfriend. Early the next morning, Dad and I headed back to our side of the corn field – Muncie.
